Volume 6, Issue 1 (2024)

Prof. Layth Sliman- Efrei Paris, Panthéon Assas University, Paris, France

It is my pleasure to introduce Volume 6, Issue 1 of the BAU Journal - Science and Technology. This issue showcases a collection of cutting-edge research articles spanning diverse scientific and technological disciplines, reflecting the commitment of researchers to addressing contemporary challenges through innovation and rigorous scientific inquiry.

The featured studies cover a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence to Biomedical Advancements and Sustainable Agriculture. The increasing sophistication of cyber threats is tackled in a novel intrusion detection approach for ARP spoofing and MITM attacks, demonstrating the continuous efforts to enhance network security. Similarly, artificial intelligence plays a crucial role in several fields, including AI-driven pilot placement for 5G networks, the detection of influential social media users, and the development of a Bionic Prosthetic Arm that bridges the gap between simulation and reality.

Biomedical research remains a focal point in this issue, with studies investigating the effects of vitamin D deficiency on diabetic patients, the therapeutic potential of Annona Muricata in colorectal cancer treatment, and the development of an injectable bioinc for enhanced bone fracture healing. These studies highlight the intersection of medical research and technological advancements, offering promising solutions for healthcare challenges.

The transition to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic is analyzed in another study, emphasizing the role of institutional support in overcoming digital education barriers. Additionally, this issue features innovative research in sustainable agriculture with the CropSync system, which integrates AI and IoT to optimize farming practices. Theoretical advancements in mathematical sciences are also represented through a study on the faithfulness of an extension of the Lawrence-Krammer-Bigelow representation in conjugating automorphisms.

As we navigate an era of rapid technological evolution, these contributions reaffirm the significance of interdisciplinary research in shaping the future of science and technology. I extend my gratitude to the authors for their valuable contributions, the reviewers for their insightful feedback, and the editorial team for their dedication in making this publication possible.

We hope this issue inspires further research and fosters collaboration within the global scientific community.
