Abstract
The study aims to highlight and examine the Beirut City Centre reconstruction project as an example of the concept of New Urbanism. The study covers Lebanon's geographical location, traditional house architecture, Beirut's history, urban growth, and the civil war and its effects on the city's architecture and identity. Moreover, the objectives of the reconstruction project as a New Urbanism Project were applied in the city's center and the adjacent area of the Saifi Village. The conclusion summarizes the lessons learned from applying the New Urbanism Concept to the reconstruction project.
