Abstract
Traumatic disasters, in various forms, are an integral part of our daily lives. In 2005, New Orleans was severely affected by Hurricane Katrina, leaving indelible traces of destruction. Currently, climate change significantly increases the risk of hurricanes for New Orleans, and preparation for climate change remains insufficient, even within prosperous nations such as the United States. In this context, literature assumes crucial importance by providing a powerful means of raising awareness about environmental challenges. "Ouragan", Laurent Gaudé's polyphonic novel, addresses environmental issues through the portrayal of Hurricane Katrina. It explores social and climate injustices faced by the most vulnerable in the wake of a devastating catastrophe. According to Gaudé, writing about the disaster leaves an imprint on the world and the environment, contributing to forging a new covenant between humans and nature. To what extent does the writing of traumatic disasters question the relationship between humans and nature? How does a focus on life narratives illustrate the connections between social and ecological issues, highlighting injustices for potential rectification? Can literature play a significant role in promoting eco-responsibility and fostering a different environmental consciousness? These questions will be addressed in light of ecopoetics and its aesthetic and ethical challenges in Gaudé's "Ouragan." The ecopoetic approach examines the forms and writing processes that represent human relationships with nature. It also seeks to raise environmental awareness by denouncing political practices and, through literary means, advocating for concrete and collective action to preserve ecological balance.

Les catastrophes traumatiques, sous diverses formes, font partie intégrante de notre vie quotidienne. En 2005, La Nouvelle-Orléans a été durement touchée par l’ouragan Katrina, laissant des traces indélébiles de destruction. À l’heure actuelle, le réchauffement climatique accroît encore de manière significative le risque d’ouragans pour La Nouvelle-Orléans et la préparation face à un changement climatique demeure insuffisante, même au sein de nations prospères telles que les États-Unis. Dans ce contexte, la littérature revêt une importance cruciale en offrant un puissant moyen de sensibilisation aux défis environnementaux. Ouragan, le roman polyphonique de Laurent Gaudé embrasse les questions liées à l’environnement par l’évocation de l’ouragan Katrina. Il y est question d’injustices sociale et climatique pour les plus démunis face à une catastrophe dévastatrice. Selon Gaudé, l’écriture de la catastrophe laisse une empreinte sur le monde et sur l’environnement et contribue à forger un nouveau pacte entre l’homme et la nature.

الكوارث المؤلمة الصادمة، بأشكالها المتنوعة، تشكل جزءًا لا يتجزأ من حياتنا اليومية. في عام 2005، تعرضت نيو أورليانز بشكل كبير لإعصار كاترينا، مما ترك آثارًا دائمة للدمار. في الوقت الحالي، يزيد التغير المناخي بشكل كبير من خطر الأعاصير على نيو أورليانز، والاستعداد لمواجهة التغير المناخي لا يزال غير كاف، حتى في الدول المتطورة مثل الولايات المتحدة. في هذا السياق، يكتسب الأدب أهمية حيوية عبر توفير وسيلة قوية للتوعية بالتحديات البيئية. رواية "Ouragan" لوران غودي تتناول قضايا البيئة من خلال إشارتها إلى إعصار كاترينا. تناقش الرواية قضايا الظلم الاجتماعي تجاه الأشد حاجة في وجه الكوارث المدمرة. بحسب غود، تترك كتابة الكارثة بصمة على العالم والبيئة وتساهم في تشكيل اتفاق جديد بين الإنسان والطبيعة. ألا يؤدي حدوث الكوارث الى طرح تساؤلات عن علاقة الإنسان بالطبيعة؟ كيف يمكن لتركيز السرد على قصص الحياة أن يوضح الروابط بين القضايا الاجتماعية والبيئية ويبرز الظلم بهدف التصحيح المحتمل؟ هل يمكن للأدب أن يلعب دورًا هامًا في تعزيز المسؤولية البيئية وخلق وعي بيئي مختلف؟ كل هذه الأسئلة ستُعالَج في ضوء الإيكوبويتيك وتحدياتها الجمالية والأخلاقية في "Ouragan" لغودي. تناقش الإيكوبويتيك اأشكال وعملية الكتابة التي تُمثل علاقة الإنسان بالطبيعة. كما تسعى أيضًا إلى توعية بيئية عبر الإنتقادات للممارسات السياسية والدعوة، من خلال وسائل أدبية، إلى عمل فعلي وجماعي للحفاظ على التوازن البيئي.
